GigaIH policy for missing lessons

Hi everyone,

This post is dedicated to the case you will miss lessons throughout the year. You must bear in mind that you can book 1 hour of recoup only after you have missed two consecutive lessons.

Did you miss two (2) consecutive lessons?
Don’t worry! We care about your learning so remember that:
  • On your return you must inform Reception and book your ‘recupero’ lesson immediately.
  • This depends on the availability of a teacher who could be the same one or a different one.
  • ‘Recupero’ lessons will be available only at specific times so please check with Reception first.

You should obviously do your best and avoid missing lessons as much as possible, as this will affect the dynamics of the group and your own progress throughout the year.

Best,
Silvia

Lesson 4°

Hi guys,

Today we did some Speaking practice Part 4 by looking at questions from ex. 2 p. 19 - you also had to assess your classmates following the speaking criteria given in class.
We also worked on writing formal and informal letters - ex. 2 p. 16. ex. 1-3 and prepositions ex. 1, 2 and Corpus spot p. 17. We started Writing folder 1 ex. 1-3 p. 20.

For homework please do ex. 4 p. 17 (writing to the hotel) using the useful vocabulary and expressions from previous exercises.
From p. 21 do exercises 4-6 and attempt a draft of the letter in ex. 7 p. 21 - one of your colleagues will check it in class.
If you are too busy and you don't have enough time to do both writings, do one as best as you can and leave the second for the weekend.

Bye for now,
Silvia
