Lesson 26°

Hi guys,

For next time please write 6 phrases about the two pictures in ex. 5 Speakin p. 67 - speculate, compare and contrast highlighting the differences between them. Use the expressions we looked at in class. Try to use different expressions everytime.

From p. 66 do exercises 1, 2 Vocabulary and from the Workbook please finish the homework from the previous Unit 9 and work on Vocabulary ex. 1-4 and Participle Clauses pp. 32-33.

PS: Here's an update from me - I found this very recent BBC video about participle clauses. Check it out below! Hope it helps :)

Apparently the same guy had made a similar video last year about participle clauses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuTSOQ9kIdY

That's all for now,

Silvia

Lesson 24°

Hi guys,

For next time work on Future Forms p. 29 ex. 1, 2 and Vocabulary ex. 1 same page from your Workbooks and check this video of Part 4 of the speaking exam, it's not the perfect example, but still notice how the students communicate (verbally and non-verbally) and the language they use to agree, disagree or add to the other's point of view.

I won't be here on Monday, one of my colleagues will cover me, but I'll see you at the Movie Night!

That's all for now.
Have a great weekend!

Lesson 23°

Hey there,

Here's a short reminder of your homework for next time: from your Workbooks Listening ex. 1-4 p. 28 (unfortunately, Antonio can't do it at the moment) and Reading and Use of English ex. 1, 2 p. 30.

That's all for now,
See ya!

Lesson 22°

Hi guys,

Welcome to Antonio to our group and I really hope he'll stay with us for the rest of the year! :)

For next time I'd like you to search which words the following terms collocate with or the context they are used and make some sentences with them: regular, by and large, crew, challenge, different (from), keep (away).

Here a link with some more examples of lexical chunks you can further study and use, plus Splendid Speaking is a nice website to explore to subscribe to in order to get extra resources.

Bye for now.
Have a great weekend! :)
